R.T. Corp (DBA: RTC) was incorporated in 1988 as an S-Corporation in the state of Wyoming. In 2004, we received accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) (Certificate #2122.01) for both our soil and water proficiency testing programs. The principal business of the corporation is the manufacture of Certified Reference Materials (CRM), Quality Control (QC) Samples, and Performance Testing Samples (PTS). In conjunction with the production of these products, Laboratory Proficiency Testing Programs (LPTP) are conducted for both solids and waters.

Location

RTC is located in Laramie, Wyoming on the edge of town at the confluence of Interstate 80 and Highway 287, a major North/South and East/West artery. Laramie is a community of 25,000 located in the Southeast corner of the state, 130 miles North of Denver, 60 miles North of Fort Collins and 45 miles West of Cheyenne. Laramie is also the home of the University of Wyoming, which provides a readily available and highly educated labor base.

Plant & Facilities

The company offices and the main plant facility are housed in a common building, with a total of 5,000 sq ft of plant space and 1,500 sq ft of office space. The plant includes the research laboratories, shipping and receiving, raw material storage, refrigerated space, and controlled inventory storage. Our soil processing operation has moved into a new building in 2004.

Operations

RTC has all the necessary permits, licenses, etc. to manufacture Solid Matrix Quality Control Samples. RTC has been assigned EPA I.D. Number WYD988870218, has been classified as a recycler by the US EPA, and has an exemption to produce and distribute PCB materials. All necessary equipment is in place and operating, experienced personnel immediately assignable, and all support systems are in place. RTC has the demonstrated capability to manufacture “real world” reference samples as well as matrix spikes, depending on the need of the market. Laboratory Proficiency Testing Programs (LPTP) are conducted for both aqueous and solid matrices.

Accreditation Details

RTC is accredited under A2LA to provide Water Pollution Chemistry; Water Supply Chemistry and Microbiology; the USEPA Discharge Monitoring Report-Quality Assurance (DMRQA) Chemistry and Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET).
