BTEX is an acronym for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene. This group of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is found in petroleum hydrocarbons, such as gasoline, and other common environmental contaminants. Gasoline range organics are defined as having a hydrocarbon range for C6 to C10 and a boiling range for 60°C to 220°C.
