This PT sample is packaged as a 20 mL concentrate.

The solvent for this sample is water.

The PT sample has been autoclaved for preservation.

The sample must be stored at 4 degrees Celsius.

All constituents are present in soluble form.

Partially fill a 500-mL volumetric flask with reagent-grade water (near 20ºC).

Open ampule PE1364-20ML (be careful to avoid cuts on glass) and transfer 10.0 mL of concentrate to the volumetric flask.

Fill the flask to volume with reagent-grade water and mix well.

The sample is now ready for immediate analysis.

Sealed ampules were autoclaved to preserve the solutions inside.  This preservation treatment is not effective after the ampule is opened.  Therefore the sample should be analyzed as soon as possible after sample preparation following the preservation and holding times as specified in the method.
