Description
The SRM is a mixture of marine sediment collected near urban area in New York and New Jersey. SRM 1944 is intended for use in evaluating analytical methods for determination of selected PAHs, PCBs, chlorinated pesticides and trace elements in marine sediment and similar matrices. Reference values are also provided for selected dibenzo-dionxins and dibenzofurans congeners, total organic carbon, total extractable material and particle-size characteristics. All of the constituents for which certified, reference and information values are provided were naturally present in the sediment material before processing.
